Steiner Ukraine is the exclusive representative of Vacuum Barrier Systems (VBS) in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Moldova and Turkmenistan. NITRODOSE® and EasyDose™ dosers by Vacuum Barrier Corporation (USA), SEMIFLEX® and CobraFlex® cryogenic piping, Flavordose® flavour dosing systems. Line-specific selection, supply, spare parts and technical support.
The doser injects a precise drop of liquid nitrogen into each container before or after filling, ahead of capping. The drop vaporises, displaces oxygen from the headspace and, once the container is sealed, creates internal pressure. This gives the producer three measurable results.
Nitrogen overpressure keeps thin-wall PET bottles of still beverages in shape during storage and transport. This allows a lighter preform to be used.
Nitrogen vapour displaces oxygen from the package headspace. Product oxidation slows down; taste and colour are retained longer.
Dosing the liquid phase reduces nitrogen consumption compared with purging containers in gas tunnels.

The doser valve opens for milliseconds and delivers a metered dose of liquid nitrogen into the container neck. Minimum dose duration is 5 to 25 ms depending on the model.
The drop turns into gas. Its volume increases roughly 700 times.
The gas displaces air and oxygen from the headspace above the product.
After capping, the remaining nitrogen creates overpressure and makes the container rigid.
Liquid nitrogen dosing, LN2 supply through vacuum-jacketed piping, and flavour dosing into the filling line.

Supply, equipment selection, spare parts and technical support for VBS systems:
A liquid nitrogen doser is a device on a filling line that injects a precise dose of liquid nitrogen (LN2) into each container before capping. The nitrogen vaporises, displaces oxygen from the headspace and creates overpressure in the sealed container. This extends product shelf life and makes lightweight PET containers rigid.
Yes. Nitrogen is chemically inert, colourless, odourless and tasteless and does not change the product composition. In the EU it is approved as packaging gas and propellant E941 (Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008); in the USA the FDA classifies nitrogen as GRAS (21 CFR 184.1540). The filling area requires ventilation and room oxygen monitoring.
PET bottles, glass containers, aluminium cans and pouches — for cold and hot filling. For containers with small headspace, such as lightweight bottles and hot-fill products, the 3-D Technology option is used.
The model depends on line speed and required accuracy. Up to 200 cpm — MiniDose G3; up to 450 cpm — EasyDose G3 Lite, EasyDose G3 or NITRODOSE G3; up to 2000 cpm — EasyDose G3 Plus, NITRODOSE G3 Pro or NITRODOSE G3 Servodoser (±1% of dose weight); aseptic filling — HS Aseptic; large containers — Linerter III. The final choice is made by an engineer based on your line data.
From a portable dewar, an outdoor cryogenic bulk tank or an existing piping system. For supply from a tank, SEMIFLEX vacuum-jacketed piping and CobraFlex flexible hoses are used together with phase separators.
According to VBS, the investment in a doser typically pays back within the first year of operation through lighter preforms and fewer rejects and returns. The actual period depends on line output, product, container and raw material prices and is calculated for each plant.
Trials on the customer's line are possible individually, on request. Terms are agreed per project.
Yes. Steiner Ukraine supplies original spare parts for VBS dosers and Flavordose systems and provides online consultations on operation and troubleshooting. Work at the plant — commissioning, installation supervision, trials — is carried out individually, on request. Details are on the Service and spare parts page.
